Clinton Staffer: Global Warming is Important Too!

So now we've heard about the Clinton Campaign "planting questions."

It's great.  I like it.  I'm serious!

It would suck if it was planted questions about how Social Security is in a state of crisis.  (It's not).

It would suck if it was a planted question about how Kyl/Lieberman was an Authorization vote.  (It's not).

It would suck if it was a planted question designed to exploit nuance as indecision.  Bush.  Cheney.  Rove.  They all did that too.

But now.

A Clinton staffer implored a student to ask a question about what?

Global Warming.

The Clinton campaign has admitted to planting questions in Iowa. They have confirmed that a campaign staffer approached a student to ask Sen. Clinton a question about global warming during a campaign stop at a biodiesel plant in Newton, Iowa, on Nov. 6.

I have often thought that the Netroots values defeating Clinton more than stopping war.

I'm now convinced the Netroots is more concerned about defeating Clinton than talking about Global Warming.

Too bad they can't plant some questions for the Georgetown Social Club media to ask. When was the last time we heard a question about a real issue like -- I dunno -- health care or the economy or energy from that pack of superficial jackals.

Two hours of "debate" last week and the only question from the crown princes of the Sally Quinn dinner part set mention the words "health care" was a 30 second lightning round question on what Democrats can do to increase doctors' salaries.

Why is this a story? (none / 0)

Hey kid, ask Hillary about global warming?  Big deal.  Dumb of the staffer, but who gives a shit.

Re: Why is this a story? (none / 0)

Its not such a big deal but its an embarrasment to the campaign and one more headache.

What was to be gained by asking the question anyway , it seems like a harmless question with no obvious benefit to her campaign.

The opposition research are going to be working overtime to derail her campaign , so it would be wise not to add more fuel to the fire by your own self inflicted moves.

Yeah, it was dumb, but (none / 0)

it sounds like a staffer working on their own thinking this was a great idea.  Dumb.

Yeah, she still has a good sized lead. (none / 0)

My guess is those voters will look around and come back home to Hillary.

Totally agree , if they can hold things together , those voters should come back.

Did you notice those that supported Clinton strongly rose by about 5% from 59% to 64%   while those that supported Obama fell by 11 % from 58% to 49% , so yeah I think her performance at the debate and the aftermath was responsible for the lose of support because the poll was in the field from

I'm just excited that the other candidates are finally making a late run at Clinton. The sport of politics is a lot more fun that way!

The crowd is cheering, the bands are playing, the teams are fired up and ready to go. Let's play the rest of the game...

I like my team's chances with Hillary at quarterback in the fourth quarter.
